Also known as the Mother of the Sea or Mistress of the Sea, she resides in the Inuit underworld, Adlivun. Sedna’s story is a creation myth that explains her power over sea life and her role in the Inuit worldview. A beautiful faceted aquamarine reverse kite shape is perfectly captured in a highly polished setting, bringing beauty to simplicity. Featuring an open reverse to the setting, with a hand sawn wave motif to truly embody the sea and Sedna. A fan of silver sits beneath the base of the pendant, adding further beauty. A one of a kind piece, with the detail to the back of the pendant allowing her to be worn either front ways or backwards- 2 pendants in one. Finished with a plain silver bail and 2 soldered jump rings to hold the diamond cut belcher chain perfectly. Set and formed by hand.
