A one of a kind sterling silver welk shell necklace, hand cast from an Essex welk shell, collected by me along the Essex coast line! I’m a true believer of always having a shell in my pocket, but seashells are fragile- this solid silver version isn’t, and looks beautiful and unique worn around your neck.
Handcrafted with melted down sterling silver, and poured into a single use sand mould of a natural welk shell (from Shoebury beach!), this shell piece captures all of the delicate details of the natural shell it’s cast from. A 3d piece, with a hallmark on the inside of the shell, this is a really tactile, weighty necklace to play with. A soldered ring bail at the top of the shell keeps the chain secure. A sparkly, diamond cut silver belcher chain length of your choice comes included.
Perfect to wear alone, or with other pieces from the Little Black Cat collection.

Avoid contact with water, allow perfumes and body lotions to dry before putting your jewellery on, and avoid catching your item where possible. Sterling Silver will tarnish naturally when it isn’t worn, but can be bought back to a lovely shine with a soft cloth, or silver cloth. Please don’t use a silver cloth or polish on gold vermeil items.
